Lucky winner gets original Lucky Cow

Susan Birch of Salt Lake City won the Lucky Cow’s “funniest fast-food story” competition. The contest invited readers to submit their funniest fast food experiences.

Birch and her husband went to a local fried chicken restaurant to pick up no less than three buckets of fried chicken for their extended family, including their grandkids. Although the only people in the restaurant, they were still asked, “Is this for here or to go?”, a story that keeps them laughing to this day.

Birch’s story will be immortalized on Nov. 11, 2005, when it will appear as a Lucky Cow comic strip. She will also receive the signed original of ‘her’ cartoon plus a personalized copy of Mark Pett’s Lucky Cow: A Cartoon Collection (Andrews McMeel Publishing, $10.95, Spring 2005).
