Calvin and Hobbes collection shortage
The Book Standard is running a story that there were not enough “The Complete Calvin and Hobbes” printed to meet the holiday demand.
Book retailers are frustrated that Andrews McMeel is not filling all the pre-orders for the collection, but Andrews McMeel maintains that the small print run was an effort to “create a collectible ‘limited edition.’”
Whether the coming shortfall is a mistake or planned, if you want the three volume set for Christmas, it may not be wise to wait until the holiday season is in full swing.
